Mario Sollazzo was born in Naples on March 30, 1974. He graduated from the "Conservatory of Santa Cecilia" in Rome in Piano and Chamber Music. He also has bachelors in philosophy from the "University of Rome - Tor Vergata".
He continued his piano studies at the "Musikhochschule of Detmold" in Germany and later in music composition at the "Musikhochschule of Dresda". Currently, he has the role of "Lehrauftrag at the Musikhocjschule of Detmold". He is a pianist, clavichord player, and opera composer both in the instrumental and electronic musical scope.
Since 2003 he collaborates with KHA Records, for whom he has made two album: "LA 32" (2004), dedicated to the music of Ernesto Lecuona, and "Piano Express" (2007), a collection of piano' classic works from Bach to Satie.
