Gabriel Fauré

Gabriel Fauré is an illustrious French composer and teacher; he was a pupil of C. Saint-Saëns. His music shows the characteristics of a firmly national art but innovative with respect to the canons of tradition. He composed works of all kinds, even if the best part of his production is revealed above all in chamber and piano music.
